Just as every tree is unique in many ways, each of our bowls, vases and other wood products is unique. Our articles are handcrafted from logs we obtain from trees that have already been cut down. We never cut down a tree simply to make a bowl or anything else in our shop but, if they do have to come down, we try to rescue them from the burn pile and turn them into unique handcrafted items. We use trees from the Memphis, TN area so when you buy from us you get something handmade by local craftsmen using local materials.
We work hard to highlight the unique character and beauty in each log we work with. Grain patterns, knots, bark, and insect markings are not viewed as defects but as part of the natural, individual character of the particular tree. Rather than striving to make perfect, flawless items that are simply made of wood, we endeavor to bring new life out of the distinctive character of the wood in each and every item we produce. Our goal is to create a product you can enjoy and appreciate for many years to come.
